The combustion chamber can be adjusted quickly depending on the track and weather conditions, as the inserts are easy to change. The inserts are made of aircraft aluminium for detonation resistance. There are various inserts with different volumes available for each head.
These VHM head inserts do not fit the standard (OEM / Stock) heads, only our VHM cylinder heads!
The VHM standard insert is developed for the best overall performance.
Besides our VHM standard, we also offer optional inserts with varying compression ratios. With a higher compression ratio, meaning less volume, your engine will have more low and middle range torque. Lowering the compression ratio, which means more volume, will result in better over revolution characteristics. This improves speed on fast tracks.
With a blind insert you are able to machine the inside of the combustion chamber yourself, with your own ideas about the specifications (volume, piston height, squish). For all our VHM heads, we also offer a blind (blanc / unmachined) insert.
Inserts with a part number ending with an A are blind inserts, for example AE32281-A
Instead of machining your own specifications with a blind insert, it’s also possible to order a custom insert. See our Custom Parts page for more information and a custom insert order form.
Besides the VHM cylinder head inserts we also offer special inserts for certain standard cylinder headcovers. For these special inserts, it’s also possible to order a custom insert according your specifications.
For these special OEM head inserts, it’s also possible to order a custom insert according your specifications. See our Custom Parts page for more information and a custom insert order form.

Start with the engraved number on your insert. This consists of 3 numbers, a dash (-) and a letter or 2 or 3 digits.
Our VHM insert part numbers always start with AE32, so you'll need to add that to the engraved number on the insert.
Just type the insert number in the search bar. Examples:
Inserts made according to specifications of our customers (custom inserts) cannot be found on our website (without specific login account), so if you have an insert with a number that does not show up in the search bar, please contact us about it.
