Specializing in 4 stroke design JE has developed NEW Pro Series FSR forgings for off-road motorcycles that are dedicated to a specific engine type. These evolutionary forgings allow for reduced overall weight while maintaining strength. With 60 years of racing experience, JE has forged ahead to bring the finest pistons available in the market today.
JE pistons are used at the highest level, the supercross of the AMA in the USA. JE piston developed and produced special forged pistons for Team Kawasaki Monster Energy of Pro Circuit with rider Christophe Pourcel.
Each piston starts as a state-of-art computer model. JE's in-house engineering department then uses Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to predict thermal and structural stresses based on historical race parameters. This motion simulation analyzes what a piston would experience in a race-simulated environment and can be used to prevent failures before the piston is manufactured. With the information provided by the FEA tests, we focus on areas of elevated temperatures and excessive stress-strain relationships. When the design and testing processes are complete, the result is a dedicated piston design that is both light and strong.
All pistons are manufactured on the same
machines that produce race-winning pistons for AMA Superbike, NHRA and
more. JE piston are held to the strickest tolerances in the industry.
Qualitity control technicians verify all pistons meausurements after
every machine operation. All pistons are hand deburred and pass a final
inspection before being wrapped, boxed and shipped to the customer.
